Over the past week there has been a series of changes in the operation of the bar and pavilion to enable us to operate in strict accord with changing government COVID-19 and ECB guidelines. Members have received an email explaining these in detail. Recent ECB guidelines have, for example, brought about the cancellation of the planned socially distanced Players' Supper.

Trial Midweek Opening Hours

Our core bar winter hours were planned to be Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the hours shown below. Members have, however, made a credible case for trial openings on Mondays to watch football, and on Thursdays to meet the continuing interest of members. The trial openings will be reviewed for continuation beyond the dates shown below.

Bar closing hours will be flexible and last orders will be called by the bar staff when trade reduces to an unsustainable levels of below £20 an hour. Strict social distancing and table allocations will be in force.

Surplus to Supper Meals

Surplus to Supper are the local food bank charity which has been raising money through sales of food at the Club. It is now also moving onto a winter regime offering plated food and table service.

Table Service and Table Bookings

Members will have seen the email explaining the introduction of table service and revised circulation arrangements in anticipation of seasonally cooler weather leading to members drinking inside rather than outside the pavilion. We are also introducing a system of table bookings and further guidance will be issued on this shortly.
