Cricket week at Sunbury coincided with the hottest week of the summer with temperatures on Tuesday - the day of the MCC game and lunch - reaching 33 degrees. But did we complain? Of course not. Nobody mentioned the temperature at all.

As always the ground and clubhouse looked immaculate under a cloudless blue sky and so did the many members and guests who came down to enjoy the cricket, company, food and drink.

A lot of people contribute to the success of cricket week and our thanks go to all of them. A special mention goes to Peter Browne for overseeing the MCC day and to Surplus for Supper for providing a fantastic lunch.
