Rajan Soni25 Jan 2020 - 12:00

Ben Manenti puts pen to paper as Sunbury sign 2020 Overseas.

Sunbury are beginning to build a great history of overseas signings, with past players including Jimmy Adams, Luke Woodcock, Mark Gillespie, Dane Vilas, Chris Green and most recently Matthew McGillivray.

In 2020, Sunbury have secured the services of Sydney Sixers star Ben Manenti. Ben has played 13 matches for the Sixers, taking part in BBL08 and BBL09, picking up 10 wickets @ 26, with an impressive economy of just 6.94.

An exciting 22 year old who also shines with the bat, scoring 101 for Kent 2nd XI v Warwickshire in 2019, Ben has helped his former club Roffey CC to the Sussex Premier League title in 2016, 2018 and 2019, scoring 645 runs @ 40 with the bat, and taking 26 wickets @ 22 in 2019, featuring in the top 10 of both charts.
Ben plays his club cricket at Sydney Cricket Club down under, and has currently taken 11 wickets in the First Grade Competition already.

Ben is eager to give back to the club in more ways than runs and wickets, stating his desire to join in with the coaching team at Sunbury, under Academy Director John Maunders, and we are all extremely excited to be welcoming an extremely talented cricketer and down to earth character to the Sunbury fold!
