Monday 4th August
Unfortunately, the week began with the U17s losing to Eastcote by 9 wickets in the League Playoffs. On a drizzly evening, Sunbury’s batting lineup failed to fire, except for a brilliant innings of 50 from 44 balls by Tyrone Visvakula, which helped salvage a score of 103. It was well below par, and indeed Eastcote proceeded to knock it off in less than 17 overs.

Tuesday 5th August
It was a comfortable 71-run win for the U15s against AJ Cricket Academy. Half centuries from Dan Ahmed (53rtno off 25) and Charlie Maunders (51 rtno off 32) helped Sunbury post 201-4. Four bowlers took a wicket, with the best spell coming from Maunders, who took 1-7 in his 2 overs.

Wednesday 6th August
A disappointing 53-run defeat at Stanmore saw the U11s fail to get to the League Playoff Final. A good bowling display, led by the spin of Krishna Tichur (3-24 off 4) and Ranveer Singh (2-18 off 4), limited the hosts to 140-9. However, Sunbury’s chase never got going, with only one batsman making double-figures.

The U17Bs cruised to an 81-run victory over Woking & Horsell: Jack Marland and Liam Martin both retired not out on 50 and 53, respectively, while Barnaby Geary was excellent with the ball in taking 4 wickets for 8 runs in 2.5 overs.

Sunday 10th August
Sadly, the U12s were beaten by 6 wickets against Valley End, despite a solid batting performance that saw Deben Ganguly (33) and Thomas Box (30) retire, with Shlok Trivedi and Thomas Pearson finishing unbeaten on 25 and 20, respectively. Deben was the pick of the bowlers for his 1-5 off 2 overs, but Valley End reached their target with 8 balls to spare.
