The Future of Girls Cricket

1. Current and Future Teams
a. Overall goal is to have a home-grown Women's Team by 2025.
b. So far, we've increased Girls Playing Members from 15 (Apr 21) to 37 (Today).
c. 2023: We have 4 teams: U9s and U11s playing softball matches and U12s and U13 playing traditional cricket.
d. 2024: 5 teams adding an U15 team. Need to increase the increase girls playing members by 10.
e. 2025: 6 teams adding an adult Women's team. Need to increase the increase women/girls playing members by 12.

2. Structure for Girls Cricket for 2023
- U13 Team Manager John Gillespie
- U12 Team Manager Martin Cattley
- U11 Team Manager Jakki Wheeler
- U9 Team Manager TBD?
• Assistant Managers, helpers and scorers need for all age groups.
• For each match we need a manager, umpire and scorer.

3. Selection Policy
a. Currently being discussed.
b. Likely that the U13 team will be selected on merit.
c. The U12 team will ensure girls not selected for the U13s will get a game for the U12s.
d. Both for U11 and U9, as we do not have huge squads, we should be able to give all girls plenty of matches.
e. Availability - Pitchero!!!

4. Club Projects
a. Nets project - more information to follow.
b. Women's changing rooms - again more information to follow.

5. Events
Plan to run two events to publicise girls cricket.
a. Club AGM - Thursday 16th March.
b. Girls Open Day - Sun 23rd April.
c. Camps
• Easter Week 1 Mon 3/4 - Thu 6/4 (4 Days)
• Easter Week 2 Tue 11/4 - Fri 14/4 (4 Days)
• May Mon 29/5 - Fri 2/6 (5 days)
• Summer From 17/7 (7 weeks)
d. Women Gin & Prosecco Softball. Date TBC.

6. Positives
a. We have two girls who have come through Sunbury to represent Surrey (Rhianna Southby and Chloe Brewer).
b. Have 4 Girls already in Surrey setup (U10, U11, U12, U13).
