The Club are delighted to announce the signing of a contact with Maunders Cricket, led by John Maunders, to supply professional and support services to the Club for the 2021 season.

John, a respected cricketer and cricket coach, played professional cricket for England U19s, Middlesex, Essex and Leicestershire. Since then, he has been a stalwart of the 1st XI for the last 10 years as one of the leading batsmen in the Surrey Championship, most memorably being instrumental in captaining the side to back-to-back title wins in 2015 & 2016.

Cricket Camps
A key initiative for Maunders Cricket will be the design, promotion, and running of Cricket Camps during school holidays available to appropriately aged children of members and from the local community utilising theirteam of appropriately qualified staff.

Coaching and Training Services
Maunders Cricket will be providing extensive support for Club members including:

• Autumn training on Sundays for the U9-12 & U13-17 age groups

• Autumn Elite Player Programme coaching and training sessions (between October and December) for selected qualifying players in the U9-U17 age group

• Occasional training sessions for each Junior age group through the Summer.

John will additionally take on the role of Director of Cricket and will act as Head Selector for all adult Saturday and Sunday XIs, coach the U19s on match days, and run training sessions for all adult members.

John will continue his business of providing private coaching independently of the above arrangements.
