Sunbury Colts in Guard of Honour at Oval

Half a dozen players from each of the U10s, U12s and U13s formed the Guard of Honour at the Oval in Friday evening as Surrey took on Middlesex in the T20 blast.

Surrey batted first so the boys took their positions with Middlesex coming out to field and were lucky enough to see at close quarters / give “high fives” to household names such as Steve Finn, Eoin Morgan and Brendon McCullum as well as Jason Roy who opened the batting. Seeing Sunbury lads Toby Roland-Jones (Middx CCC) and Amar Virdi (in the squad for Surrey) was a partcular highlight for the lads.

Surrey won comfortably by 29 runs and the lads had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable evening!
