Competition Rules (top)

The SCC Fantasy League is run by the Club for the benefit of the Club and for you to have a bit of fun. The rules and scoring are at the discretion of the Committee. Performances of SCC players in SCC games all contribute to a fantasy average for each player. You select a team according to a set of rules and your team total is the sum of your players' averages.

Team Selection:
Players are allocated a TYPE and given a SCORE. The types are:
  • 1 opening batsman (select 2)
  • 2 middle order batsman (select 2)
  • 3 all rounder (select 3)
  • 4 wicket keeper (select 1)
  • 5 spin bowler (select 1)
  • 6 seam bowler (select 2)
Add up the scores of all your selected players and this total must not be greater than 45.

Batting points are allocated as follows:
  • 1.0 points per run up to 29 runs
  • 1.2 points per run up to from 30 to 49 runs
  • 1.4 points per run up to from 50 to 74 runs
  • 1.6 points per run up from 75 to 99 runs
  • 1.8 points per run up from 100 runs onwards
  • -25 points for a duck
  • 5 points for a not out
Bowling points are allocated as follows:
  • 10 points for 1 wicket
  • 25 points for 2 wickets
  • 45 points for 3 wickets
  • 70 points for 4 wickets
  • 100 points for 5 wickets
  • 135 points for 6 wickets
  • 170 points for 7 wickets
  • 220 points for 8 wickets
  • 270 points for 9 wickets
  • 325 points for 10 wickets
  • 10 points for an economy rate <3
  • -25 points for an economy rate >6
Wicket Keeping points are allocated as follows:
  • 15 points for 1 victim
  • 35 points for 2 victims
  • 60 points for 3 victims
  • 90 points for 4 victims
  • 125 points for 5 victims
  • 160 points for 6 victims
  • 210 points for 7 victims
  • 260 points for 8 victims
  • 315 points for 9 victims
  • 375 points for 10 victims
Fielding points are allocated as follows:
  • 5 points for a catch
  • 5 points for a run-out
  • 40 points for 4 catches or more
The average will be based on performances in all qualifying appearances, a player must have made 6 appearances for their full average to count. Up to 6 appearances the average is pro-rata, so for example after 5 games the player will score five sixths of their actual average.

All matches from 2 May 2010 to 5 September 2010 inclusive will qualify excluding 20x20 matches.

Manager of the Month

There will be 4 manager of the month awards after the last games in May, June, July and August. To qualify for the manager of the month you must have submitted a valid team and paid for it by the last day of the previous month. The MOTM award will go to the manager of the team with the best performance in that month.

Manager of the Season

There will be a Manager of the Season award for the team with the best performance overall.

Entry Fees

One entry will cost £5 and 3 entries can be made for £10. All entries must be submitted and paid for by 16th May. You may make up to 2 changes in each of the months May, June and July which will cost £5 for the 2.
