After many years as a mainstay of the 1’s batting line up Adam will be leaving Sunbury this coming season to take up a role with Richmond as their Director of Cricket.
Adam joined Sunbury as a 4 year old under the supervision of Frank Sharman and his Grasshoppers and his rise to success saw him in the Middlesex CCC squad for many years where he acquitted himself with distinction at a time when Middlesex had a wealth of real quality players. With Sunbury he has almost single handidly held our batting together since retiring from the professional game and his total of 11116 runs playing at the highest level of club cricket is formidable. In the Surrey Championship Premier he has been among the top run scorers for many years, scoring in excess of 500 runs each season, including 676 on what was his final season in 2016. Additionally his fielding has always been of the highest quality and his recent role behind the stumps was to be admired.
The opportunity presented to Adam is without precedent in ECB Premier league cricket and all of us wish Adam every success.
