The next Music Night is on Friday 13th May, when we welcome back one of our most popular bands THE 60s ALL STARS, who played at our very first Music Night five years ago in 2011, and have been back every year since then.
The band will need very little introduction to many of you, featuring Mick Avory, the original drummer from the Kinks, guitarist Alan Lovell, who is still playing with the Swinging Blue Jeans, bass guitarist John Dee from The Foundations, and guitarist Del Mandel, who was with Crispian St. Peters and also played with George Harrison’s band.
They are one of the very best of the ‘60s revival bands on the circuit, and we are guaranteed a hugely entertaining evening of wall-to-wall beat era classics as they draw on their amazing repertoire. We always time this one to coincide with the start of the cricket season proper as the League games get under way, and the 1st XI bid to retain their Surrey Championship Premier Division title, so bring a gang of friends along and we can make it a real early summer party night. The fliers are attached if you want to forward them to your friends and associates. Food will be available as usual from about 7pm.
By the way, if you are interested in the cricket at the Club, the 1st XI are playing old rivals Malden Wanderers in the first round of the National Cup this coming Sunday May 8th, so pop down any time during the afternoon and early evening and enjoy some exciting action – don’t forget, you can join the Club as a social member and get discounted prices at the bar.
We look forward to seeing you on the 13th.
